Explore the Group PathSweet Grass Co. takes place on a real working rural Alberta farm. Animals and land responsibilities continue regardless of weather. Participants should expect long active outdoor days with physical movement, land-based work, and practical problem solving.
Plan to spend significant time outdoors. Come prepared for changing Alberta weather — rain, mud, wind, heat, cool mornings and evenings, and uneven terrain.
Animals do not wait for the sun to come out to be cared for.
Adaptability, responsibility, teamwork, and resilience in real conditions are part of the learning. Some activities may be relocated or adjusted for safety in severe weather when necessary.
Participants must be able to walk, maneuver uneven terrain, and participate in physically active outdoor environments.
Prairie Paths is a 15-day leadership challenge — 15 minutes a day, at your own pace. Walk the trail. Answer honest questions at each marker. Your trail journal stays with you forever — come back anytime. It is not the farm experience. It is your first step toward finding your bearing as a leader.

The program uses guided activities, rural skill-building, reflection, facilitated discussion, and structured group challenges to help participants practise leadership in real time.
Each activity is connected to measurable personal-development and employability skills, while the full learning process is kept private until participants are on-site.
The participant workbook is provided as a printed paper copy only during the program. This protects the integrity of the activities and ensures the learning is experienced as intended.
Sweet Grass Co. is intentionally designed so participants discover the learning through experience, not by reading ahead. Each day includes facilitated teaching, hands-on learning, reflection, group connection, and practical leadership development.
